the graphs indicate the number of passengers who took the train for travel, measured in million and the proportion which the train running on time represented in Sydney during the nine years from 1995.

When it comes to the number of passengers by train, the general trend did not differ largely over the whole period. To be specific, its figure started the year of 1995 in a slightly upward movement from roughly 250 to 300, followed by a partial recovery to 280 during the remaining time.

Turning to the second graph, it is obvious that the target rate of the train running on time stayed at 95%, while unfortunately the train did not achieve the expected aim except the two years of 1999 and 2002. On the whole, the ratio experienced a stably fluctuating tendency, reaching the bottom of a little more than 70% over the last year.

Seen from the graphs, more passengers chose the train as their transport mode for travel, but the problem of delayed trains demonstrated much more worse during the given time.
